Concept

The innovative new Green range for SBM.

ecoFix® anchors are absorbable, with different diameters (4.5mm, 5.5mm to 6.5mm), to adapt to different bone densities.

Punch taps are available in 4.5mm and 5.5/6.5mm diameters, with a diamond tip to facilitate cortical bone tapping and implant insertion.

ecoFix® reusable screwdrivers are sized to match ecoFix®  implant diameters : 4.5mm and 5.5/6.5mm.

ecoFix® is also available in a Knotless version. ecoFix® Knotless is used with a reusable suture-passing pin. ecoFix® Knotless enables sutures to be passed quickly and easily through the anchor and screwdriver. The T-shaped screwdriver holds sutures in place, controls implants insertion and facilitates axial rotation. It can be reused over 250 times.

The model is simple, fast and reproducible, and allows up to 2 sutures to be inserted.

 

Materials

ecoFix® anchors are made with Duosorb®, a biocomposite material composed of 30% β-TCP and 70% PLDLLA. This balance between strength and elasticity makes Duosorb®  both osteoconductive and bioabsorbable, and its high β-TCP content limits inflammatory responses.
